Mr. Saviour Okusenogu will be representing Africa at the “Microsoft Youthspark Challenge for change contest” the competition organised by Microsoft Corporation to encourage young people to create and work on ideas that change the society for better using technology.
National Mirror reports that Mr Okusenogu who is a 100 – level student of Electrical\ Electronic Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, got the ticket for the global event out of over 2,000 contestants from Africa based on his emergence as one of the 10 winners of the initial stage of the competition at the regional level held earlier.
In a press release, the university’s spokesman, Mr. Adegbenro Adebanjo said Okusenogu’s project which won him the honour is titled: “Become Inspired in Science and Engineering Technology (BISET)
In his remark, the Vice-Chancellor of FUTA, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, delighted with the achievement of Okusenogu said Okusenogu’s achievement was further reaffirming quality the university is known for in knowledge and character
The event comes up this August in Nicaragua.
