A 27-year-old man has stabbed his girlfriend to death before committing suicide by taking poison in Nairobi’s Juja Estate B.

Starehe OCPD Benard Nyakwaka said a fight started between the two at around 1.40am on Thursday.

It is suspected the couple were quarrelling over love-related issues.

The man, Abdi Malik Idris, stabbed Santa Mohamed Abdullah seven times, killing her instantly.

"He then drank poison.

“His body was found on the roof of the house they were (sharing)," Mr Nyakwaka said.
