After being released to go home yesterday night, erstwhile Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, on Saturday returned to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for more questioning.
He arrived the EFCC office at 11.45 am accompanied by his lawyer, Rickey Tarfa, SAN, and some aides.
A source who pleaded not to be named because he is not authorised to speak on the issue, told Premium Times that as soon as the former Governor arrived at the commission, he was moved into the interrogation room.
It was gathered that Tarfa and aides to the former governor watched helplessly as operatives of the anti-graft operatives led Akpabio away for interrogation by crack detectives of the commission.
The online newspaper was told that the former governor might spend the day with the commission.
