Woman poisons her two daughters

A 40-year-old woman has poisoned her two daughters at Essikado in the Western Region.

The woman, 40 year-old Naana Amenewah is alleged to have killed her daughters over a broken heart.

Naana who is suspected to be unstable in the mind due to the alleged broken heart, put poisonous substance in the food of her children aged 6 and 8 on Sunday evening.

According to residents, the children died in their sleep after eating the poisonous food.

Naana has since been arrested whilst the bodies of the children, Maame Serwaa, 10, and Maame Fulba, 8, have been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital morgue for autopsy.
