The Nigerian Army has killed several members of the deadly Boko Haram group after an airstrike.
An intelligence-led aerial and ground coordinated operation launched by the Nigerian Army targeting the Boko Haram group’s strategic human and material capacity has led to the killing of scores of terrorists in Bama Local Government Area in Borno State.

An Intelligence Source told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in Lake Chad that the airstrike was executed on Friday on the heels of credible intelligence reports indicating a large presence of the terrorists in the general area.
The terrorists, according to checks by Zagazola were hibernating in some hideouts around the axis of Bula Ngufdoye, Ngori, kote and Tangalanga, Kulo Gomna, Bulamarwaye, Garje, Wuta and Mordo villages in the Cameroonian border town.
“Bombs from the detailed attack Super Tukano Aircraft scored accurate hits on three targets leading to the obliteration scores of the terrorists and some of their equipment including Hilux trucks.
He said the terrorists, who attempted to flee the location, were also mopped up in follow-up attacks by the jets.
The operation was conducted pursuant to credible intelligence reports indicating that the settlement was one of the locations being used by the fighters as a staging area from where they attack troops’ positions and other soft targets in the Banki general area.
