Kamil Batoshek, a Czech Republic influencer and TV host, had a rather unconventional idea. He wanted to organise a money giveaway contest. However, he believed this alone wouldn't generate enough interest, so he decided to make it even more exciting by dropping the money from a helicopter over the town of Lysa Nad Lahem in the Czech Republic. This move raised concerns, particularly in a country where income inequality is a pressing issue, with certain rural regions, like Ostrava, grappling with high poverty rates.
For this unique contest, participants were required to solve a code presented in his movie, "Onemanshow: The movie," to locate the money. Unfortunately, nobody was able to crack the puzzle. As a result, the influencer decided to distribute the money among all registered participants, regardless of whether they had solved the code or not. He then sent out a new email, this time containing encrypted information: The coordinates where he would drop the money, scheduled for 6 a.m.
Upon reaching the designated location as mentioned in the email, the influencer, known as Kazma, began scattering banknotes throughout the town.
In a video that has now garnered more than a million views on social media, Kazma dropped an astonishing one million US dollars from a helicopter in the Czech Republic. In a social media post, he proudly labeled it as "The first real MONEY RAIN in the world! $1,000,000 dropped from a helicopter in the Czech Republic, and thankfully, no injuries or casualties occurred."
While Kazma appeared to be quite satisfied with the money he tossed around, netizens were far from pleased. One Instagram user commented, "Here, you can clearly see that if people wanted, we wouldn't have a single piece of paper around us :)".
Another user expressed their discontent, saying, "The money should have been put to better use. I understand there are these codes and people can claim them, but let's be honest. Not even half of the people who gathered there will actually do that. Moreover, those who do donate the money to charity end up splitting it among thousands of different charities, and in the end, it won't truly benefit anyone," accompanied by a facepalm emoji.
A third individual questioned, "You can't fly a small drone over the city, but it's okay to drop money from an iron container over people?"
