A man was arrested on a charge of bestiality after being caught having ex with a camel, police in Kenya said.

Now, 19-year-old Diba Ali of Marsabit, has been sentenced to serve one year in prison after pleading guilty to one count of bestiality.

The Marsabit Magistrate’s Court heard that Ali, who works as a herdsman, was caught in the act by his colleague, Galacha Jillo.

The court was told that Ali and Jillo went to sleep on the side of the road while the camels belonging to Jattani Galgallo, were grazing nearby.

At some point, Jillo woke up and heard strange noises nearby.

He went to investigate and was surprised to see his colleague having sex with the animal. Jillo called the police and informed the owner of the camels about the incident.

In addition to the jail sentence, he was ordered to pay a Sh200,000 fine ($1,917).
