In a gruesome incident, a man with a severed head was spotted strolling around the streets of Pune city, located about 150 km (93 miles) from Mumbai, India on Friday morning, according to IBNLive.
In the horrifying footage, Chavan can be seen holding his wife's head in one hand and an axe in the other as two police officers pursue him while passersby look on in shock.
Chavan, who is a security watchman by profession, apparently beheaded his wife using the axe after he found out that she was having an affair with someone, according to NDTV.
A case has been registered at the Bharti Vidyapeeth police station in Pune's Katraj area. An investigation is ongoing and police are interrogating the man.
