Flying Eagles world cup preparations halted due to visa problem- NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation has revealed that the the Flying Eagles plans to travel to Germany ahead of the FIFA U-20 world cup has been set back due to logistics.

This was revealed by the NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi today, saying that they are yet to know when exactly the national U-20 team will jet out of the country, but insists that it would not slow down the team’s World Cup preparation.

"The team will travel very soon but there is a slight challenge in the travelling arrangement. The New Zealand visas will be switched in South Africa because we don’t have an embassy in New Zealand.

"So when we went to South Africa to get the New Zealand visas, the embassy was on holidays and will resume on the 20th. Once we secure the visas we’ll take them to the German embassy for another round of the validation process.” footballlive
