South African paralympian, Oscar Pistorius has been placed under house arrest following his release from the prison on Monday.
This information was released by the Correctional Services spokesman, Manelisi Wolela, following Pistorius release after serving one out of his five-year jail term.
The former Olympic athlete had been in prison since October last year for killing his late girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, claiming it was in self defence.
Pistorius shot the model and law school graduate on Valentine's Day 2013. He has said he mistook her for an intruder.
Last week a South African parole board said it had approved his placement under house arrest and correctional supervision for four years.
