McQuaig Officially Kicks-Off Campaign For Next Federal Election

 TORONTO -‎ On Sunday, Toronto New Democrats gathered to officially nominate Linda McQuaig as their candidate in Toronto Centre for the next federal election.

 “Linda is an exceptional candidate and I’m so pleased to have her officially back on the team,” said NDP Leader Tom Mulcair. “Her knowledge and understanding of the issues our country faces is matched only by her hard work and commitment to serve.”

 Journalist and best-selling author, McQuaig has earned a national reputation for standing up for the public interest. McQuaig was the NDP candidate in the 2013 Toronto Centre by-election. She and a team of New Democrats have been working and building support within the new riding boundaries ever since. 

 “I’m delighted to be the NDP candidate in Toronto Centre again,” said McQuaig. “I can’t wait to be a strong voice in Ottawa as part of Tom Mulcair’s team - fighting for affordable housing, greater income equality, and action on climate change.”
