DSS DG Stands By Intelligence Report Indicting Magu, Source Says By Editor

The Director General of the Department of State Security, DSS, Lawal Musa Duara who wrote the intelligence report indicting Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is standing by the claims.

Sources informed DENISAURUS NEWS that Mallam Duara is not backing down from the report that based the decision of the Senate to reject Mr Magu has the substantive chairman of the anti-graft agency.

The DSS report indicated that the ‘rejected’ EFCC boss had failed its integrity test and “would become a liability to the anti-corruption crusade of the present administration if confirmed.”

According to the insider, the security department has added over 10 more charges to the 16 it listed to the Senate against Mr Magu.

Mr Magu’s name was represented to the Senate while President Muhammadu Buhari was away on vacation in the UK.

However, Mr Magu is yet to clear himself from the allegations made against him by the DSS.

EFCC workers have asked for the report written by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN that supposedly cleared Mr Magu to be made public.

Staff of the anti-corruption agency have constantly complained about how their boss was driving the agency down through his corrupt activities.

To make matters worse sources say that the questions raised in the security report have been unanswered which will make the request from the executive for lawmakers to reconsider it’s stand on the decision it took not to confirm Mr Magu very hard.

EFCC staffers have called on Mr Malami, SAN, to release to the public its investigative report on Mr Magu
