Politicians flooding Nigeria with arms - Ekweremadu reveals as he becomes professor

The deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, has again revealed that politicians are currently flooding the country with arms ahead of the 2019 as he warned that the citizens have no other place to run to if Nigeria is destroyed.

Ekweremadu made the revelation in the evening of Thursday, March 8, just when the governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi, felicitated with him on his recent appointment as a visiting professor by a US-based university, Southern University, Baton Rouge Louisiana.

A statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Emmanuel Uzor, said Umahi sent his goodwill messge while reacting to the appointment of Ekweremadu as a full visiting professor by the American university

He described the appointment as clear manifestation of scholarship, dedication to duty and hardwork adding that Senator Ekweremadu was a consummate scholar, a perfect politician and a gentleman whose passion for the enthronement of rule of law is total.

“It is with great joy that I received the news of the appointment of one of our finest leaders in Igbo land, Senator Ike Ekweremadu as a full visiting professor by the prestigious Southern University, Baton Rouge Louisiana, United States of America.

“For me, this appointment is a clear manifestation of his humane dedication to his passion which is ensuring rule of law. “No doubt, as a lawmaker of great standing, Ekweremadu has made significant landmarks in making beneficial laws for the entire nation and has mentored so many scholars through his journals on politics, law and economy. “He has been able to itemize those challenges that steer us in the face as a nation and proffered solutions to them.

“His appoint has once again demonstrated that Africa and indeed Nigeria and Igbo land still parade the best brains when it comes to academic excellence and on behalf of the patriotic citizens of Ebonyi state, I congratulate him on this well-deserved appointment. “Congratulations prof," the governor said.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that the Nigerian army declared that it is derogatory for Ike Ekweremadu to claim that the military can still take over the government of the country because its democracy was already receding.
