The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state has called on the members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to mind their utterances.
Reacting to the recent statements attributed to the PDP’s state Chairman, Senator Mas’ud El-Jibril Doguwa, the APC Deputy Chairman, Honarable Shehu Maigari, said the call become necessary in order to call the PDP leadership to order.
He said, “The recent utterances of PDP leadership that the APC lead administration in the state was threatened and scared about the rising profile of the opposition party in the state and indeed in the country as a whole were uncalled for.”
“Let me state categorically that APC Kano State Chapter and indeed the government in the state have not seen any profile associated with PDP Kano Chapter, talkless of acknowledging its rising or falling.” he said.
Maigari added that the PDP Kano State Chapter had never been and would never be a threat to APC Kano State and its government.
He said the opposition should focus on solving their age-long internal crisis and allow the ruling party to tackle the challenges facing the country.
“I am advising members of the PDP in Kano to concentrate on their long existing internal problems like the dichotomy of so-called old and new PDP and allow us to face the numerous security challenges and high level of corruption that we inherited from PDP’s 16 years of misrule,” he said.
