Apparently not happy with the role played by the three Senators representing Kaduna State at the National Assembly (NASS) on the rejection of the $350 million world bank loan for Kaduna state, Governor Nasir el-Rufai on Friday rained causes on the senators and prayed God to punish them.
The governor, who was speaking at the official handing over of party flags to the candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of the local government elections into the 23 local government area at the Kaduna township stadium, described the senators as enemies of the state’s progress.
It would be recalled that the three senators from Kaduna state, namely Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi (Kaduna North), Shehu Sani (Kaduna Central) and Danjuma Laah (Kaduna South) were unanimous in their rejection of the loan for the state for various reasons advanced.
But the governor who was furious in his utterances said, “They are useless representatives who are against the approval of the loan, such that the school, roads, hospitals and other good projects started in the state are not completed.
“Today, there are no enemies of Kaduna State like Suleiman Hunkuyi, Shehu Sani and Danjuma Laah, may God punish then and pay them back with their intentions.”
“May God punish them and pay them back with their intentions,” he repeated.
Meanwhile, he prayed for members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly who according to him supported the government’s quest for the loan.
He said, “May God bless our members of the State Assembly for their support and pay them back in returns, and may God return them back to their seats.
“They have showed that they are bastards who don’t know their roots and must be shown that they have no roots in Kaduna.”
“When it is time for election, they should be shown through the ballot papers that they are not wanted to go back to Abuja,” he said.
