Ekiti Governorship Election: Police Uncovers Venue Of Fake Ballot Papers Printing

The discovery of the venue was made yesterday after some police officers stormed  No. 13A and 13B, Oguntano Street, Gbagada, which allegedly belong to one Eniola Fayose.

The police disclosed that it stormed O’Naphtali Limited located in Lagos after it got a hint on the type o activities being carried out in the company.

According to the information gathered, Eniola Fayose who is said to be an indigene of Ikere in Ekiti State, was not on the premises when the police arrived but two members of his staff were arrested and are being interrogated by the police.

Journalists were briefed on the matter by the Lagos Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal after the raid by the police.

Revealing how the venue was discovered, Edgal said: “The report further revealed that some of the printed ballot papers were moved to Ekiti State in three Hilux vans on Friday, July 6, while the artworks are still in their graphics computers.”

He further disclosed the items recovered from the company, in his words: “One HP laptop, one Acer laptop, one Booklet of form EC/ EK 8B Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission EKSIEC; three EKEC 50A envelop for miscellaneous materials, two pieces of Ekiti SEC, eight A(1) statement of result, one copy of form Ekiti SEC eight A(1), one income tax clearance certificate of Ekiti State, seven pieces of Ekiti State Internal revenue motor receipts, one piece of form EC 8A of Ekiti SEC, one piece of Ekiti State Voters card register log book cover for Ado Local Government; one piece of NECO mark/attendance sheet, Ekiti State Ministry of Education progress report for secondary school and one flash drive.”

The police commissioner further revealed that in the course of the investigation, the police gathered that the company was allegedly contracted by the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission to print the elections materials which were discovered during the raid.

Edgal further discloses that investigation into the matter is already ongoing and that some of the materials discovered are already being scrutinised by professionals in order to determine any incriminating information.
