Members of the All Progressives Congress can’t seem to differentiate between Ayo Fayose and Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
For avoidance of doubt, Ayo Fayose is the outgoing governor of Ekiti State, while Kayode Fayemi was once a governor of the state and an ex-minister of mineral resources who is seeking to return to Ekiti as governor for the second time.
Fayose is rooting for his deputy, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, to succeed him on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Trouble started when the Labour Minister, Dr. Chris Ngige, was campaigning at the APC mega rally in Ekiti on Tuesday.
Standing right behind him was the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Foreign and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
As captured by Channels TV in a wildly trending video, Ngige was carried away as he attempted to tell Ekiti people to vote for Fayemi.

“If you marry two wives, you go know which one wey better. Fayose is the better wife.
“You must bring back Fayose on Saturday…”
Realising the faux pas, Dabiri-Erewa taps Ngige gently on the back to draw his attention to his blunder, even as the listeners shouted in embarrassment.
And, while the APC is still reeling from Ngige’s gaffe, Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, did as badly, what with a tweet via his verified Twitter handle captioning a photo of Buhari and Kayode Fayemi as “H.E. @GovAyoFayose,” effectively confusing Fayemi for Fayose!
