Nigerians Challenge Atiku To Attend John McCain’s Funeral In US

Some Nigerians on Monday challenged presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar to travel to the United States to attend the funeral of late Republican U.S. Senator, John Sidney McCain III, who died on Saturday at the age of 81, after battling brain cancer.

They challenged Atiku after posting a tribute message to mourn the death of the senator on his twitter page.

He said: “U.S. Senator @SenJohnMcCain was a study in principle and bipartisanship; loved by friends and foes alike, never afraid to break ranks for the good of his country. His was an inspiration & lived an extraordinary life of service to his country & humanity. He will be sorely missed.”

Mr @atiku, what will you be remembered for? Nothing other than your name is synonymous to corruption.

Sir would it not be great if you attend the burial of the late Sen. John McCain? An exemplary fine officer and gentleman. May his soul Rest In Peace. You could represent The Federal Republic of Nigeria. I am sure his family would really appreciate it.
