Since time began with Father Abraham as proof, men have been known to marry ladies from a very young age. The kingdom of love has suffered violence and the smart ones have been taking over by force. Society has always made it easy for older men to go after ladies young enough to be their daughters and now more than ever, with the current economic downturn, many rich old men are seen tying the knot with much younger women. Desperate measures? Not so fast in your judgement. Some of these men are actually the ones who feed off the fame of their wives to achieve their selfish interests. Many times we talk about reasons why young ladies go for older men but we never get to view it from another angle? She could just be a means to an end.

• For love: For some women, age is no barrier in marriage. They marry for love. Some women are attracted to older men and don’t mind being their wives. Just like they say, love is blind.

• Emotional maturity: The more experiences a person has, the more likely he is to be emotionally mature.
• Sexual Prowess and experience;  Older with their long years in relationships could be more sexually knowledgeable than younger guys and more importantly, eager to please their wives.
• Comfort: Older men are not as demanding as the younger ones. You’d be more comfortable with them not stressing about irrelevant things.
• The need for a father figure: Most young ladies are looking for the love of a father. It’s either their fathers are dead or the father didn’t show them love and now they are looking for someone to fill that space.

As for these older men, the reasons are really not much;

• To stay relevant and boost their sexual confidence as they practice several bouts with their wives who of course are young and full of tricks
• For companionship. Some of these men are widowers who have been through a lot and wish to start afresh with someone new and Young too

Before you start showing your Wikipedia and familiarity skills, it’s vital for you to understand that even with all his billions and his numerous wives and concubines, Ned Nwoko has been a ‘local champion’ who has secretly been the source of wealth to a couple of female celebrities. I must tell you, he has a strong fetish for women who fit a certain description.

Ned Nwoko has been doing his thing silently but what many are asking now is, ‘WHY IS HE SUDDENLY THE NAME ON EVERYONE’S LIPS?’ The man has been fingered with other female celebrities mainly in Nollywood but still didn’t get as much attention as he is getting now. Could it be the agreement he had with his other beneficiaries didn’t go as planned?

Another twist to the tale could be that Regina Daniel’s mother might be using the daughter to shield her relationship with the billionaire, but if that’s the case, why hide it? Anyway, as a fresh rumour of her pregnancy is making the rounds, sparking a lot of controversy on social media with different reactions from celebrities alike, it’s important for us to take a brief look at some of the men who have married ladies who were young enough to be their daughters.

AARE RASAK OKOYA

The now, 85-year-old Billionaire Chairman of Eleganza Group of Companies, Aare Razak Okoya married his youngest wife Folashade Okoya when she was 25 about ten years ago.

The couple who have 4 kids together officially tied the knot earlier this year in  March at a lavish ceremony at his palatial home, Oluwanisola Estate in Lekki, Lagos. Lagos Governor, Fashola Raji Fashola and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu were just a few of the dignitaries in attendance.

Razak Okoya has 2 other wives, his first Alhaja Kuburat Okoya and Alhaja Ajoke Okoye.

CHIEF EMMANUEL IWUANYANWU

79-year-old Nigerian politician, statesman and businessman Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu tied the knot with a woman almost 50 years younger than him, 32-year-old Frances Chinonyerem Enwerem.

Iwuanyanwu who is one of the wealthiest men in Nigeria is has various successful businesses in over 20 sectors of the economy. He is the founder of the Iwuanyanwu Football club now known as the Heartland FC and the chairman of Champion Newspaper.

Alaafin of Oyo

 He has other older wives but these are ones he rolls with. The youngest of his wives recently turned a year older, she is reported to be in her mid-20s.

76-year-old Alaafin of Oyo is one of the most popular monarchs in Nigeria and is known for going out for public events with his four oloris and they all wear the same thing!

MUSA DANJUMA

In 2004 billionaire Musa Danjuma tied the knot with one of Nollywood’s most after actresses Caroline Ekanem. He was 54 and she was 24. The actress turned her back on Nollywood, instead of shifting focus to her life as a wife, mum and businesswoman.
