He made the interesting remark on Monday while commissioning some projects constructed for the newly established Niger State University of Education and the Niger State College of Education, in Minna, the state capital.

It must be noted that Aliyu was not clear on what this ‘big’ way means. Also on the list of things he failed to be clear on was what he will be doing in the intervening period between now and 2019.

Aliyu suffered a double suckerpunch politically this year – he ran an unsuccessful bid to clinch the Niger East Senatorial seat and failed to deliver his state for President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term push.

One thing however is clear – he has been vocal in asking his colleagues who lost in this election season not to defect to the All Progressives Congress which will take over Nigeria’s affairs on May 29.

For him, that will be tantamount to permitting the APC to turn Nigeria to a one party state.
