Amid the furor currently in the PDP, the National Working Committee (of which Ahmed Adamu Muázu is chairman) has alleged that PDP governors are trying to hijack the party and ruin it before decamping to APC.

An anonymous NWC member said that the PDP governors were planning to defect to APC and were planning to ruin the PDP as their service to their soon-to-be new party.

"Those, who represented the NWC at the meeting, include Mu’azu, Deputy National Chairman, Uche Secondus and the National Legal Adviser,‎ Mr. Yusuf Kwon," says Guardian newspaper.
