According to a document dated May 30, 1996, affecting Deputy Senate President Omo-Agege, the State Bar of California convicted him for violating California Penal Code §470 for forgery which it said is a felony offense.
The judgment stated as follows:
AUGUSTINE O. OMO-AGEGE [#162185], 34, of Los Angeles was placed on interim suspension effective May 30, 1996, following his conviction for violating California Penal Code §470, forgery, a felony offense involving moral turpitude. He was ordered to comply with rule 955.
Mr. Ude also attached documents showing that Omo-Agege had, in the past, changed his identity on several occasions.
The introduction to the documents posted by Mr. Ude reads:
Augustine Ovie Omo-Agege, your Deputy Senate President is a criminal in the U.S. He changed his name many times to evade justice, convicted for forgery and ran back to Nigeria and dropped Augustine from his name to hide his past, according to Court papers!

In the case involving Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, the Supreme Court of Georgia ruled that a 36-month suspension be slammed on him.
The court noted that Gbajabiamila admitted that he accepted payment of $25,000 as settlement of a client’s personal injury claims which was deposited in his trust.
He, however, failed to promptly disburse the said funds as agreed but rather withdrew and converted same for personal use, closed his law outfit and moved out of the country.
The court noted that he admitted guilt, showed remorse and paid back the client and withheld the proposed disbarment but went ahead and slammed the 36-month suspension.

In summary, Mr. Ude noted that, in view of what he called the U.S report card of Deputy Senate President, Augustine Ovie Omo-Agege and the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, both are leaders of the highest lawmaking body of Nigeria and were condemned in the U.S for fraud but embraced in Nigeria as Leaders!
Both Omo-Agege and Gbajabiamila declined comment when contacted for their responses.
