The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has denied collecting N565 million from the state government.
The state publicity secretary of APC, Auwal Jallah, on Thursday, described the reports as false.
“There is no iota of truth in all the allegations published by some online media against the governor-elect and the members of the transition committee”, he said.
“No one collected such a huge amount of money from the state government”.
“To put the record straight, it is the tradition for every transition committee to receive a little token from the outgoing administration, and that was the only money received from the Bauchi State Government, which is not up to one tenth of the amount quoted.”
Auwal who accused those behind the story of planning to tarnish the image of the governor-elect and the party, described the story as false.
