"17 Delegates Returned The Money I Gave Them" -APC Chieftain, Senator Oloriegbe

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Sen. Ibrahim Oloriegbe, has made some revelations regarding what transpired during the APC primaries in Kwara State. During his interview on Channels TV, the representative of the Kwara Central Senatorial District spoke concerning the aggrieved APC senators and the power wielded by the governors during the primaries.

Addressing the topic, Sen. Oloriegbe said, "The governors spearheaded the selection of delegates and directed them on who to vote for." It happened in my state and other states. My state governor gave directives during my own election. This is a fact, and he can come out to deny it by himself and swear that he did not direct votes to any aspirant. Seventeen delegates returned the money I gave them for logistics. However, other delegates did not. They told me that they wanted to vote for me, but they were not allowed to vote.

He continued, "My colleague from Kogi State also mentioned that people came back." This happened in many states. There will be no complaints whenever the process is democratic. Only 28 out of the 68 senators we had before the primaries won the party's ticket.
