Kano state Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso will be leaving behind over N200billion debt when he leaves office on May 29.
PREMIUM TIMES reports that the disclosure was made by an official of the state’s treasury department who spoke anonymously.
The unnamed official said, ''We have a dicey situation at hand more especially against the dwindling income, and we seem helpless because all these mess would be transferred to the incoming administration''. He also said that the state has a bill of over N200 million as unpaid advert bill to media houses.
The official also added that the governor will be leaving behind 92 abandoned road projects.
