WARNING: The President Elect Buhari Cautions Jonathan’s Ministers

 

Muhammadu Buhari has told ministers under the Jonathan administration that his incoming government will uncover whatever they were hiding from his transition committee when he assumes office.

Buhari issued this warning when faulting the ministers of the outgoing government for failing to make meaningful inputs towards a smooth handover.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has severally accused the Jonathan administration of not cooperating with the party’s transition committee.

According to Leadership, the president-elect made this known in a statement signed by Mallam Garba Shehu, the director, media and publicity of the APC presidential campaign on Thursday, May 21.

The president elect said the feedback he was getting from the APC transition committee indicates that ministers under the Jonathan Administration had not contributed towards the transition process.

He regretted that a week to transition of government on May 29, the ministers and other top government officials were yet to brief the transition committee on happenings in their respective ministries.

APC assured has Nigerians that whether or not the Jonathan’s administration cooperates with it during the transition, the party will live up to expectation by providing purposeful governance.

The transition committee of the All Progressives Congress is headed by Alhaji Ahmed Joda.

Meanwhile, the Jonathan administration has consistently denied accusation by APC that it was trying to frustrate the transition programme. It has also accused the APC transition committee of making unrealistic demands
