Recall that Ekweremadu was sentenced to Nine years and eight months in jail, his wife Beatrice, to four years and six months while Obeta bagged 10 years in jail.
The moment a judge read the sentence of former deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice and their doctor, Obinna Obeta, at the Central Criminal Court also known as Old Bailey has surfaced online.
Having been convicted for Organ trafficking in March, the judge on Friday, May 5, sentenced Ike Ekweremadu to Nine years and eight months in jail, his wife Beatrice Ekweremadu to four years and six months while Obeta bagged 10 years in jail.
From what the judge said, Ekweremadu will spend about 5/6 years in prison (2/3 of his 9+ year prison sentence) while his wife will spend about 2 years in prison (one half of her 4+ years in prison).
