Osun State Gov, Ademola Adeleke expressed displeasure on Thursday, October 5, after stakeholders failed to appreciate his ''gesture’’ of deciding to share his security votes.
This happened at the maiden edition of the state governor’s interactive session with indigenes of the state.
While speaking to guests at the ceremony, he announced that upon assuming office, he was told that he had a security vote of about N500m to N600m.
He said he told the state officials that he didn’t want the money and that it should be spent on developmental projects in the state. A few of the attendees clapped afterwards.
He was a bit displeased that they were not expressive of their appreciation for his decision. He told them that if it were in America, people would have stood up and clapped for 20 minutes.
