Ace Nigerian journalist cum politician, Dele Momodu has taken to Instagram to react to the incident between Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi CFR at an event.

The governor and the monarch met at a function in Ondo State. In a brief yet captivating video, Governor Adeleke casually approached the throne.

The governor chose to greet other guests at the table instead of shaking hands with the Ooni of Ife when he raised his hand.

After watching the video, online users insisted that Adeleke ignored the Ooni.

Many were embarrassed for the monarch as a result of the video, while others came together to support Adeleke’s actions.

Dele Momodu addressed the issue on Instagram after noticing the snub rumours were spreading like wildfire. He posted an extensive video that showed the close relationship that developed between the governor and the Ooni of Ife.

Dele Momodu shared the video and noted that it is customary for kings to avoid shaking hands with other people.
