"Politicians are selfish they come into office with a mind set to cheat and not to serve," - HRH Alhaji Abbas Tafida

A first class chief in Taraba state, HRH Alhaji Abbas Tafida has blamed Nigerian politician for being the contributors of many troubles the country is facing.

He reminded the politicians of their big role of shaping the destiny of the country with their well-designed policies and programs, expecting them to live an exemplary life for the younger people to follow.

Abbas who is the traditional ruler of Muri in Jalingo, the capital city of the state also accused the political class for problem the country is facing now "our politicians are selfish only interested in what they can get and not what they can offer"

"They come into office with a mind set to cheat and not to serve," he noted while cautioning them on the line most of them are taking, saying that "the younger ones will demand from them their stewardship.

He further stressed that “if you come into office to cheat you'll be disgraced and jailed"

Tafida disclosed this yesterday at the 14th graduation and prize giving ceremony of Concordia College, Yola.

He commended the school for uniting children from all part of the country inspite of what their politicians parents have done to this country.

The traditional ruler urged the graduating students to be good ambassador of, not only the school but, the country.

In his speech at the occasion, Adamawa state governor, Mr Mohammadu Jibrilla said the state government is committed to developing the educational sector.

The governor who was represented by his deputy Mr. Martins Babale, the deputy governor said "my administration has placed high priority on education; we will construct more schools and equip the school with human and material resources for our children to learn."

In his lecture, “Effect of Examination Malpractice”,  the guest speaker, Professor Ambrose  Voh noted that examination  malpractice is the root of all problems in the country stressing that when a student to pass exams he or she carries it to adulthood and began to cheat in all thing that come including manipulating figures.
