Rev. Dr. Pastor Dada, Author: To the Rescue (say No to Corruption) A former Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Engineer launched the book on Saturday July 25, 2014. OASES NEWS was there.
The church auditorium was full to the capacity on Saturday July 25, 2014 when Dr. Pastor Amos Dada officially launched his book; “To the Rescue (Say No to Corruption)” at the Church Auditorium of CAC Bethel, Toronto, Ontario in Canada.
The first speaker; Pastor Stephen Akinwekomi spoke on how corruption had ruined our society, and that corruption is a canker worm that must be completely eradicated. In his speech, he mentioned that pastors must display exemplary behaviour worthy of emulation and stop embracing the worldly materials. He spoke against Pastors who worship money and totally forget about what they are called for which is worshiping God and propagating His words. He further buttressed his point about Pastors living ostentatious lifestyles at the expense of their church members. The Ministers of God are expected to be the mirrors and images that people should be looking up to in their daily lives. Pastor Akinwekomi berated Pastors who are chasing properties around the world and competing with businessmen, bankers, oil workers etc. which according to him is a pure aberration and against the Biblical injunction.
The Reviewer of the book; Pastor Victor Philip expressed his joy to be part of the laudable project; he advised that everyone should get a copy because “it explains corruption, problems and solutions”. According to Pastor Philip, “corruption is not only in Nigeria, it is all over the world, it is only that the corruption in Nigeria is too endemic but the book will transform the mind of the people”. He advised that men of God and the rich ones should not flaunt their wealth in the presence of the underprivileged but taking care of the sick, hungry and underprivileged. In conclusion, he mentioned that “Proper accountability of the church’s tithe is a must”.
The Chief Launcher Lady Evangelist Feyitayo Dada did not mince words in her speech, she advised women not to put pressure on their husbands; “do not put pressure on your husband to do things they are not supposed to do” and to Men: “Be a man of your words” and to Pastors “Live with what you preach”.
