Rivers senators according to Premium Times have given ex governor Rotimi Amaechi one condition in order to be approved for ministerial duties by the senate.      

The ex governor according to recent reports had visited senate president Bukola Saraki, to solicit for support towards the screening.

According to people familiar with the matter, the senate president “is helping him (Amaechi) to reach out to the Rivers senators”.

“But it is not about what the SP can do alone; he has to reach compromise with his people (Rivers senators),”

He however said the Rivers Senators have made their demand for a compromise.

“What they want from him is withdrawal of the case in court against Wike (the Rivers APC petition against the election of Governor Nyesom Wike),” he said.
