The embattled President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has found some relief as his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal has been halted by the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court has today, Thursday, November 12, stopped the ongoing trial of the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over false declaration of assets.
The federal government has given an undertaking to the Supreme Court not to proceed with the criminal case against Saraki, at the Tribunal.
Counsel to the federal government, Mr. Rotimi Jacob, SAN, gave the undertaking after the apex court agreed to expedite the hearing of the case.
