UK Couple Poisoned by Same Nerve Agent That Struck an Ex-Russian Spy and His Daughter

Friday, 06 July 2018 07:46 Written by

In March, ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found unconscious on a park bench in Salisbury, England, poisoned by a Soviet-era nerve agent.

On Saturday (June 30), another couple, who had visited Salisbury for a shopping trip the day before, fell ill at a house in Amesbury, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) away from where the first poisoning occurred. It was later found that they had been poisoned by the same nerve agent, called Novichok, according to the BBC.

Novichok, created in the 1970s and 1980s by the Soviet Union, binds to cholinesterase, an enzyme that is necessary for the nervous system to communicate with the muscles, Live Science previously reported. Subsequently, muscles begin to shut down, including those necessary for breathing.

The woman, 44-year-old Dawn Sturgess, was found foaming at the mouth, and the man, 45-year-old Charlie Rowley, was sweating, dribbling and making weird noises, according to the BBC.

Other common symptoms of Novichok exposure include pinpoint-size pupils, digestive problems, excess salivation and tears, muscle spasms and seizures, Live Science reported. The heart can also stop beating.

The nerve agent acts the quickest when ingested or inhaled, and slower if a person's skin gets exposed. It doesn't evaporate or decompose quickly, which prompted expensive decontamination efforts following the Skripal poisoning, according to the BBC.

Police have said there was nothing to indicate that this couple was specifically targeted. Security Minister Ben Wallace said the victims were likely poisoned by contamination from the nerve agent left over from the previous attack, according to the BBC. But "that could change," he said.

A Russian scientist, Vil Mirzayanov, told the BBC that the nerve agent would have decomposed in the months after the first attack, as the nerve agent becomes unstable, especially in damp conditions.

Regardless of whether this was a targeted attack, the police have not yet found any items that were contaminated. However, they have sealed off the areas in Amesbury and Salisbury where the couple traveled Friday and Saturday.

Officials couldn't reassure the public that no one else is at risk, but England's chief medical officer, Sally Davies, said the risk is low, according to the BBC.

She was arrested as she arrived at the London Heathrow airport, screaming "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" despite using dark evil means of voodoo to "tie" her trafficking victims to her demands before trafficking them to Germany, Italy and Netherlands. As typical, she refused to answer police questions when initially detained and over 35 sim cards were recovered from her at the Heathrow airport coming in from Nigeria. In the UK, Ms. Josephine Iyamu worked as an NHS nurse, which is one of the most lucrative job prospects in the UK, a very well paid job that employs 90% of Nigerian women in the UK, but her thirst for a high flying lifestyle pushed her into the human trafficking business using voodoo as a facilitator, you can watch the video of her arrest below:

MEET THE WOMAN WHO DRINKS HER OWN DOG’S URINE TO CURE HER ACNE

Saturday, 23 June 2018 10:05 Written by

A woman has claimed drinking her own dog’s urine helped clear her bad acne in this horrifying video.

‘Many of you have asked me how I always look so good, how my makeup always looks so perfect, or how I always have this natural glow,’ the unnamed American woman says in the clip.

Using a plastic cup, the woman collects urine from her dog before drinking it in full during the minute-and-a-half clip.

The horrifying video appears to be real after the woman is able to chug the cup of urine right after she collects it from dog.

‘Until I first drank my dog’s pee, I was depressed, I was sad, and I had bad acne,’ the woman says after finishing the cup.

‘Dog pee also has vitamin A in it, vitamin E in it, and it has 10 grams of calcium, and it’s also proven to help cure cancer.’

Drinking dog or human urine is known as urine therapy, and it was a practiced form of therapy in ancient China, Rome, Greece and Egypt.

But experts warn about the impact the substance can have on the health because of the toxins and acids that can reside in the urine.

‘Urine is mostly made up of water, lots of urea, creatinine, various electrolytes, uric acid, trace proteins, and low levels of antibodies and enzymes,’ Joy McCarthy, a certified holistic nutritionist, told Allure.

She says that drinking urine from an animal could be an unsafe route for the body because what the liquid might contain.

‘Herbicides have been detected in dog’s urine, likely from herbicide-treated lawns, antibiotics, and hormones, so I really don’t know that it’s the safest choice,’ Joy says.

A common misconception people have is that drinking ones own urine could help in a survival situation to prevent dehydration.

But the US Army Field Manual actually instructs its soldiers to not drink their urine because it might contain ‘harmful body waste.’

As for the woman’s claim that the urine could cure cancer, there lacks a sufficient amount of evidence to support the method.

Dr. Amy Shah, a functional medicine doctor, tells Mind Body Green that small amounts of urine therapy could be beneficial, but she would not prescribe it as a cure for diseases at the moment.

‘While most of urine is water, waste, and urea, I still cannot recommend this as a viable alternative to the many diseases it is touted to cure,’ she says.

‘We have more waste in our systems today than we did thousands of years ago.’

Consuming that waste without anything filtered out could cause more harm than good compared to the modern medicine available, Dr Shah explains.

NIGERIAN LADY SCHOOLING ABROAD SHARES HER EXAM QUESTION ABOUT NIGERIAN FRAUD (PHOTOS)

Friday, 25 May 2018 01:44 Written by

A Nigerian lady has taken to her instagram to share a shocking revelation on how her exam question was about Nigerian fraud.

The lady identified by her Instagram handle as @folaogunsemo who is schooling in Manchester, United Kingdom, has taken to the social media platform to show how ashamed she is to be a Nigerian after been ridiculed by her course mates when they got to see a question about Nigerian fraud on their question paper.

She wrote

“This is my exam paper for a module named “Law in a business context” with the red circle which I did today 23rd of May. Stepping out of the exam hall my friends were like “Fola how did you feel about question 22” and for the first time in my life, I felt ashamed of being a Nigerian. I believe fraud is being committed everywhere but for it to be recognized and used as an exam question in UK, then it is VERY BAD for Nigeria.

My lecture slide showed a typical example of a “yahoo boy’s” storyline in the green circle, I went further to search for “Advance-fee scam” with the belief that it was exaggerated in my lecture slide and I found the information in the blue circle.

I am short of words at the moment realizing the fact that there’s been so much issues lately about “yahoo boys” on social media, this is not a good reputation for Nigerians at all……. This matter tire me ooo my people”

UK jails '2 bad Nigerians' for stealing more than £1 Million

Sunday, 20 May 2018 12:23 Written by

Two Nigerians, Emmanuel Mmaduike and Olawale Kashimawo, both 31, who operated a London-based cyber crime group have been jailed after stealing more than £1m.

The two Nigerians spent the money on “a lavish lifestyle”, according to the UK National Crime Agency.

According to a report by Sky News, the pair hired a helicopter and drove “flash cars”, and “posed for photographs of themselves with wads of money, expensive watches and drinking champagne”.

They ran their scams from southeast London after obtaining thousands of business email addresses and passwords – which they used to divert payments away from legitimate companies to themselves.

Known officially as “business email compromise” (BEC), the attack involves the criminal impersonating a senior executive and attempting to convince the victim to transfer funds.

UK’s National Cyber Security Centre said BEC scams are one of the fastest growing forms of cyber crime. According to a 2017 report by networking company Cisco, cyber criminals made $5.3bn (£3.9bn) from BEC in just three years.

Mmaduike’s role was to access the victim’s email accounts and change invoices so that payments were directed to mule bank accounts run by Kashimawo.

His collaborator then laundered the cash by arranging withdrawals and international bank transfers which were carried out by other fraudsters.

The pair are believed to have carried out more than £1m of fraud and money laundering between April 2015 and November 2015, according to the NCA.

Mmaduike was jailed in March 2017 for six years and 10 months after he admitted money laundering and fraud.

He also admitted perverting the course of justice in relation to a sham marriage to a Dutch national.

On Thursday, his accomplice Kashimawo was jailed at Kingston Crown Court for six years and nine months after admitting two counts of conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The head of investigations at the NCA’s National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU), Tony Adams, said: “UK businesses should exercise caution when authorising significant transactions – particularly if there is a last-minute change of account details.

“If in doubt speak to the intended recipient of the funds on the phone prior to making a large payment.

“Keep passwords safe and do not use the same passwords for multiple online accounts.

“The NCA and our partners are continuing to tackle business email fraud and money laundering. It is imperative victims report such compromises as soon as possible and retain all evidence.”

Four ladies have been pictured taking selfies on a bridge just moments before it came crashing down with them.
The women were posing for selfies when the bridge suddenly gave way

A group of young women - including two teenagers - suffered multiple fractures after falling over 30ft off a rundown bridge as they posed for selfies, The Sun UK reports.

The horror accident happened on a railway bridge over the Cais River in the north-eastern Brazilian borough of Castelo do Piaui.

According to reports, the side of the bridge suddenly gave way when the group were taking pictures.

A 22-year-old woman and two teenage girls, aged 15 and 16, fell 10 metres (33 feet) and suffered multiple fractures.

Local authorities released a photo of the three young women alongside a fourth friend that was taken at the scene of the accident the day before.

Policeman Marcelo Freitas told local media: "The bridge passes over the Cais River and is used as a railroad, although it has been in a state of disrepair for some time.

"The young women were taking photos when a section of the bridge came away and they fell to the ground below.

"Fortunately, the trio survived and were rescued by emergency services."

A group of eight people were on the bridge at the time but only three were injured.

They received treatment at a nearby clinic before being transferred by ambulance overnight to the Hospital Teresina.

Two of the girls suffered leg fractures while the third broke her left foot.

Local authorities said the bridge is the responsibility of the federal government and is waiting for a response from the Ministry of Transport
